All done with my husband’s bespoke scarf.
All it took was 9 balls of yarn, 720 meters and 248 rows.
Now all we have to do is wait for winter.

What are your instructions for the pattern? I think the cable effect is wonderful for a scarf and yours looks elegant!
Thank you. The core cabling pattern is from a knit cowl pattern found at http://www.thegartergirl.com/2009/12/04/free-knitting-pattern-burberry-inspired-cowl-neck-scarf/. I added some width (your preference) and a seed stitch border all around. My husband is tall so I kept trying it on him until it was the length he wanted.

The cabling pattern is not difficult. If you’ve done cables before, this one is less complicated than others. Just follow the pattern when it tells you to hold stitches to the back or to the front – this is what gives it the depth. I use a row counter so that I don’t lose my place. Happy knitting!
